This quality of a worthy problem suggests that viability equates to a question of scalability. Tire fundamental questions of a balanced product team are “will people like it and could they use it? (desirability)… can we build it? (feasibility)… if they like it, can use it, and we can build it, does it help the business? (viability).” Now I can see that a better way to ask that question is “…will they like it and use it, and can we build it, at scale?” The definition of “at scale” will of course be particular to the business in that moment, and will change over time.
